ABOUT ME
I grew up in a family of DIYers and tradespeople. We didn’t have the money to pay people, so we did it ourselves. Electrical, plumbing, carpentry… we did it all. My grandfather owned a furniture restoration company, and from what I've been told he was one of the best in the business. My father carried on that tradition by building beautiful furniture himself, many pieces I currently have in my own home. Somewhere along the line, I picked up the bug for building and the rest is history.
At an early age I had a passion for homes. In seventh grade I designed my own home and dedicated the rest of my schooling to becoming an architect. After a few years in college, I decided it wasn’t for me. I didn’t want to be stuck behind a desk, because I had a passion for working with my hands. Being able to step back at the end of the day and see the art created with my own two hands is worth more than anything to me. I bring that passion to work with me every single day. When I leave your home, I'm leaving my mark on it, and I take that seriously.
In my 20’s I started working with a home remodeling company that specialized in very high end remodels and additions. I was able to hone my skills with them and learn what true craftsmanship and pride in your work look like. With every project I take on, you'll get that high end focus, no matter your budget. I decided to part ways with them when I had outgrown my role and began working as a project manager for a company renovating apartments. I loved my work, but it still wasn’t fulfilling my dream.
Starting HillsBuild Remodeling has allowed me to cater to each client on a personal level, the way I feel it should be. I’m in this industry not only for my love of homes, but for my passion to please. I cater to clients of all levels, and each one of them gets the same treatment. Whether you're on a tight budget or want a one of a kind luxury remodel, every client deserves to be given my all. At the end of the day, if you’re not happy, neither am I.
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.”
